Privacy policy
Effective 4 September 2026This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what you can do about it. It covers the website only. The way our office handles your medical record is governed separately — see “Your health information” below.
What we collect
What you send us: the name, email, phone number and message you type into our contact form.
Newsletter: your email address, and your first name if you give it.
Appointments: what you enter when booking, which is collected by Acuity Scheduling on our behalf.
Usage data: pages visited, approximate location, browser and device, collected through analytics.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages get read, how people arrive, what does not work. Google sets cookies and receives information about your device and browser. We ask Google to anonymise your IP address, so it is shortened before being stored. Google’s handling of that data is described in its own privacy policy.
You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site you visit with Google’s browser add-on, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works either way.
The contact form and the newsletter sign-up are protected by Google reCAPTCHA. It runs invisibly — there is nothing to solve — and to tell people apart from automated abuse it collects information about your device and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google. Its use is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service.
Where it is kept
What you send through the contact form or the newsletter sign-up is stored in a database on the hosting that serves this site, and contact messages are also emailed to the office so we can reply. Nothing you type into either form is used for advertising or sold.
Your health information
This website is not a secure channel for medical information. Please do not send symptoms, diagnoses, photographs of a condition, or any other health detail through the contact form or by email. Bring it to your appointment or call the office.
The health information our office creates and keeps as part of your care is protected under HIPAA and is covered by our Notice of Privacy Practices, which is a separate document available at the office — not by this policy.

Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for advertising. We do share what is necessary with the services that run parts of this business: our scheduling provider, our email provider, our analytics provider, and our hosting provider. Each processes it only to do that job. We also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Contact messages are kept as long as we need them for the practice and for our legal and accounting obligations. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained on Google’s standard schedule.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any email.
Ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by writing to shop@ocudermpr.com.

Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Minors are seen at the practice with a parent or guardian.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS and we take reasonable measures to protect what we hold. No website can promise perfect security, which is the reason for the warning about health information above.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above tells you when it last changed.
